(fr) Ce projet consistait à transformer un appartement situé dans un triplex d’Outremont datant de 1908 afin d’accommoder les besoins des nouveaux occupants. Celui-ci avait été rénové plusieurs fois au fil des années et la somme des interventions conférait aux espaces un caractère chargé, sombre et disparate. L’objectif était donc de reconfigurer les espaces et de les illuminer, tout en ravivant certaines caractéristiques d’origine, avec au programme des espaces flexibles pour les occupants qui travaillent à la maison, deux chambre à coucher, une salle de bain remodelée en deux zones (wc et salle de bain), une salle de lavage généreuse, un grand espace cuisine-salle à diner structuré par un comptoir filant offrant un maximum de rangement et une porte d’acier pliante permettant la fluidité souhaitée entre la zone de travail et les espaces de vie.
(eng) In order to accommodate new owners, this Outremont flat built in a 1908 triplex needed a transformation. After several renovations throughout the years, the dwelling had a dark and busy feel dating back to the 90's. Our aim was to reconfigure the layout and brighten up the space while restoring some of the original features. Our mandate was to create flexibility for the occupants who are working from home within a tight floor plan, including a sun-filled office, two bedrooms, a remodelled bathroom made of a bathroom and a powder room, a comfortable laundry room and a large kitchen-dining area structured with a long counter that offers abundant storage.
